Warriors Vs. Nets Preview: Golden State Looking For Third Straight Road Win

It took about 10 games into the season before the Golden State Warriors really started to look like they were a professional basketball team, taking some time to understand the nuances that Mark Jackson is trying to implement as well as the roles of their almost entirely new roster as well.

But the W's have started to click on their recent road trip, winners of two straight and looking for a third against the struggling New Jersey Nets at the Prudential Center in Newark. New Jersey remains winless at home on the season, and are 0-6 there dating back to the end of last season. On the other side of the coin the Warriors are looking for their first three-game winning streak on the road since way back when on Dec. 23-31, 2007.

David Lee has been in beast-mode through this road trip so far, averaging a double-double over his last 10 games of the season. He will need to play a big factor once again this evening, though the Nets front court of Kris Humphries and Johan Petro probably won't put up much of a fight against Lee.

The always dangerous Deron WIlliams has been struggling lately (8-29 from the floor in last two games) but rookie MarSon Brooks has been electric, leading the team in scoring with 19 their last time out. Keep and eye on those two this evening, they can light up the scoreboard in a hurry. But If the W's bench continues their high level of production and Monta, Dorell or someone else gets hot along with Lee, the W's should have no problem with the Nets this evening.

Tipoff is set for 4:30 pm PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
