Warriors Vs. Pistons, Final Score: David Lee Paces W's, Earn First Road Win 99-91

The Golden State Warriors entered the Palace of Auburn Hills Sunday evening looking for their first road win of the year against a struggling but dangerous Detroit Pistons squad. And behind a big night by David Lee, a solid second half from Monta Ellis and a great game from the W's bench, Mark Jackson earned him first road victory as a coach with a 99-91 victory.

David Lee was a force to be reckoned with this evening, leading the W's with 24 points along with six rebounds and six assists on 10-12 shooting from the field before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Monta Ellis awoke from his slow first half to finish with 22 points and seven assists, while Dorell Wright was perfect from the free throw line, finishing with 11.

The trio of Nate Robinson, Ekpe Udoh and Brandon Rush combined for 32 with each in double-digits, while Udoh added 6 boards. Rookie Charles Jenkins got the start once again, finishing with new career records in minutes (29), assists (5), and rebounds (4).

Big man Greg Monroe was huge for the Pistons tonight, finishing with 25 points and 8 rebounds, while Tayshaun Prince added 20 and Ben Gordon 15. Chauncey Stuckey was hot off the bench with 14 as well, but would prove not enough for the now 3-10 Pistons.

With the win the W's move to 4-8 on the season, as well as earn their first victory in Detroit since 2007. They now head to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers on Tuesday.
