Warriors Vs. Heat, Halftime Score: W's Hanging Tough With Heat, Trail 57-53 At Half

As the Miami Heat saw the return of Dwayne Wade to their lineup Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors would have to answer the call against a complete Heat squad, showing no signs of being hobbled. But through the first half of the game, the W's look up to the Heat's challenge by using some solid defense and a balanced offensive attack to trail the Heat 57-53 at the half.

David Lee had himself a great first half, leading the W's with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Monta Ellis added 12 on 5-11 shooting from the floor. Dorell Wright woke up from behind the arc, dropping three big trey's for 9 points to make his presence felt as well.

the Warriors showed a lot of energy on defense, getting four blocks and six steals in the first half, even flashing some zone at times. The W's continued to commit far too many turnovers, 12 to be exact, while bailing out the Heat with fouls as well, sending Miami to the line 22 times, struggling to deal with the Heat in transition as well.

Dwayne Wade certainly didn't look limited by his ankle problems, leading all scorers in the first half with 20 points, while LeBron added 15 and six assists. Norris Cole has six off the bench.

The Heat went on a bit of a run to end the half, but aside from that the W's were leading a majority of the first half. They'll have to keep up the intensity and limit the mistakes in the second half if the want to get themselves their first win in their last six games.
