Warriors v. Thunder, NBA Scores: Steph Curry Drops 35, Thunder Squeak Out OT Win Against Warriors 115-114

It came down to a last second jumper that rimmed out by Monta Ellis for the Oklahoma City Thunder to finally put away the Golden State Warriors tonight by a score of 115-114 in overtime. Despite Steph Curry having one of his better games of the season and David Lee’s big double-double, the Warriors just couldn’t get over the hump and finish off the Thunder in extra time.

Steph was really shooting the lights out this evening, dropping 35 points on 13-23 shooting including 5-8 from downtown, and also had 11 assists to round out his double-double. Monta’s night started pretty slow, but picked it up towards the end of the game scoring 12 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and overtime. David Lee had another double-double tonight as well, dropping 24 and 15 boards. As a team the W’s shot 42.7% from the field and went 15-17 from the free throw line.

Kevin Durant had another great game (as usual) leading all scorers with 39 points as well as 6 boards and 5 assists, playing 48 minutes tonight (including the 5 minutes of OT). Serge Ibaka had 19 and 8 rebounds, Russell Westbrook had 15, and James Harden added 14 in 31 minutes off the bench.

With the loss it moves the Warriors to 32-43 for the season, leaving the W’s still stuck on 9 road wins the whole year. Golden State will now head to Memphis tomorrow to face the Grizzlies for the second night of a back-to-back. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. tomorrow at the FedEx Forum.
