Warriors v. Thunder, NBA Score Update: Warriors Lead Thunder 29-25 After First Quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

The Golden State Warriors got off to a great start tonight in Oklahoma City, taking a 29-25 lead over the Thunder into the second quarter tonight at the Oklahoma City Arena.

Steph Curry came out hot, making all 4 of his shot attempts and ending the period with 9 points as well as 2 steals. Monta Ellis added 6 and 5 assists while David Lee added 7 and 3 boards; rookie Ekpe Udoh already has 2 blocks as well. As a team the Warriors shot 48% as well as playing some good defense, forcing 6 Oklahoma City turnovers.

As for the Thunder Kevin Durant had 7 points, Serge Ibaka added 6, and Thabo Sefolosha had 5 points. Russell Westbrook has 2 points and 3 assists.

The Warriors don’t keep their opponents under 30 points in the first quarter, especially against a prolific offense like Oklahoma City. If the Warriors keep within themselves and maintain their intensity throughout this game, they could definitely be on a three game winning streak by the end of the night.
