Warriors v. Mavericks, NBA Schedule Preview: Warriors in Dallas to Face Mavs for Second Time This Week

The Golden State Warriors are currently on their last elongated road trip of the season as the square off with the Dallas Mavericks tonight at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. It will be the second time this week the W’s will play the Mavs, and will hopefully be a better showing than Golden State had at Oracle Arena on Wednesday.

After taking an 18 point lead in the first quarter, the Warriors slowly but surely gave the game back to the Mavericks, eventually losing by a score of 112-106. It was probably one of the more disappointing loses of the season for the W’s because they really had the Mavs on their heels early in the game, but thats the difference between decent teams and elite teams; decent teams cave when they face adversity while elite teams scratch and claw their way out of it, doing anything they can to get the job done.

Their isn’t much left if the Warriors season except playing for pride, and this will be a good test as to how much pride they really have left. I hope the W’s come out ready to win and play that way for 48 minutes instead of letting your guard down when the going gets tough.

Tipoff is set for 4:30 this afternoon and can be seen on CSN Bay Area and heard on KNBR 680.
