The NBA released the official 2011-2012 NBA schedule Tuesday afternoon and the Golden State Warriors are one step closer to getting their season going as they get a look at their 2011-12 schedule. There are still numerous labor issues to be voted on and sorted out to get NBA free agency underway, but the season will get going on Christmas Day.
The Warriors will open their 2011-12 season hosting the LA Clippers as part of a five-game homestand to open the season. They will host the Clippers, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers in December before heading out on a three-game road trip to start January. They wrap up the season with a two-game home stand against the New Orleans Hornets and the San Antonio Spurs.
Every team will get at least one tough stretch of back-to-back-to-back games and the Warriors stretch comes late in the season. The Warriors will play three straight road games April 20-22 against Dallas, Houston and Minnesota. They have another particularly tough stretch when they play four games in five days two times in March.
The Warriors will be on national television 17 times including four games on TNT, six games on ESPN and seven games on NBA TV.
