Stephen Curry Injury Update: Curry Will Sit Out Wednesday Against Knicks

Even though X-rays late Monday came back negative on Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry's surgically repaired left ankle, the young star will sit out Wednesday's home game against the New York Knocks, his agent, Lance Young, told USA Today's J. Michael Falgoust.

Curry landed on Kyle Korver's foot during the fourth quarter of the Warriors 99-91 win over the Chicago Bulls. Curry finished with 21 points but after injuring the ankle in the preseason that made him miss three practices, resting him is the best option in this shortened season.

But it hasn't helped Curry's frustration with the lingering problem.

"It was comforting for me that it wasn't one of those just planting and moving kind of injuries like I had," Curry told USA Today. "It's still frustrating that this keeps coming up. I had this all last year so for me it's just trying to figure out why it keeps doing that and try to get it stronger."
