Golden State Warriors Sign Klay Thompson, Jeremy Tyler After Not Picking Up DeAndre Jordan

The Golden State Warriors have brought on their rookies. With DeAndre Jordan headed back to the Los Angeles Clippers, it made sense to bring on Klay Thompson and Jeremy Tyler as soon as possible. Matt Steinmetz of CSN Bay Area reports

The Warriors would normally have signed their draft picks a lot earlier, but Golden State wanted to set their money aside to try and give Jordan the best offer possible before making their commitments to both Thompson and Tyler.

Both could make immediate contributions as rookies. Thompson is likely to be a primary contributor off the bench at the guard/forward spot behind Monta Ellis and Dorell Wright, while Tyler will have a tougher uphill road with Kwame Brown, David Lee, Ekpe Udoh and Lou Amundson all in front of him. It's likely that Tyler will end up on the D-League squad for the Warriors before seeing action on the court.
