2010-2011 SB Nation NBA Power Rankings, Week 11: Warriors Stay Put At Number 22

The Warriors stay put at 22 in the SB Nation NBA Power Rankings in spite of winning 2 out of their last 3. A loss to the Clippers at 21 seems to have been the issue. Should the Warriors be ranked higher?

Around the Web: NBA Power Rankings, Warriors Hover Around 20

It seems unanimous around the Internet that the Warriors are only as good as the people they have beaten. Clearly, there is no random major media source out there with a pro-Warriors-bias that is willing to shoot them into the mid-teens, basically playoff position. 18-22 generally where they stand. Looks like SB Nation and the rest of the Internet see things similarly. Here’s what a few week 11 Power Rankings had to say about the Warriors:

CBSSports.com
18 – Buyout buyers or sellers? Sellers. A candidate to go: Radmanovic. His recent play has made him a trade possibility. One way or another, he’s got to go.

ESPN.com
20 – No team has played more road games than Golden State’s 22. And the Dubs — as healthy as they’ve been in ages — have 17 of the next 20 games at home. Doubt that’ll spark another “We Believe” campaign, but it’s a start.

Yahoo!’s ProBasketballTalk
22 – The Warriors are loaded with home games in January and are 4.5 games out of the last playoff spot in the West. If it’s going to happen it’s going to happen now.

But will the Warriors make the most out of these precious slew of home wins? Is being healthy together, finally, really all that its going to take? From the looks of it, several of the Warriors are going to need to start getting on that P90x (or the Slendertone at the very least) if they’re going to be able to play some defense. Whether it’s Stephen Curry, David Lee or Andris Biedrins, they have all looked over matched against top tier and lower tiered teams that have athletic and bigger opponents those positions (see DeAndre Jordan).
