Farewell Stephen Silas, Hope You Keep Reading Golden State Of Mind

CSN Bay Area is reporting that Stephen Silas will join his dad Paul Silas on the sidelines with the Charlotte Bobcats. "Blood is thicker than water" but Silas leaving shouldn't be treated as "water under the bridge."

But I will say the loss of Silas is extreme sadness. I will always remember my one exchange with Stephen Silas in the Courtside Club when some colleagues of GSoM introduced him to Atma Brother #1, Fantasy Junkie, and I. Young women had asked Silas for several pictures and Silas politely obliged. When Silas shook hands with us after our colleagues introduced us as the people from Golden State of Mind, he responded, "Oh yea, I read you guys all the time." For some reason, I didn't really believe him. Did he have time to read GSoM with all the scouting reports he typically does? Or did he read GSoM FOR scouting reports?

Either way, I was pleased by Silas' willingness to play along whether or not he did read GSoM. Best wishes Stephen Silas and good luck! What was your best Stephen Silas memory?
