Buster Posey and the Giants don't plan on changing much as they prepare for the postseason.

As the San Francisco Giants wind down the regular season and prepare for the playoffs, MVP candidate Buster Posey and the rest of theam are trying not to change too many things about the team as they head into the second season.

Posey told reporters after Saturday's loss to the Padres that he is not planning on blocking the plate in the postseason:

"I don't think you change something you've been doing all year," Posey told me. "I'd say no. And I didn't ... I've never sat in front of the plate. I didn't do that before I got hurt. So it wouldn't be normal for me to start doing that, blocking like that."

As for manager Bruce Bochy, he echoed the same sentiments of Posey about keeping this inline with what they have been doing:

"We don't want to change anything about how we play the game in the playoffs," Bochy told me. "We want these guys to play the game hard and right, and Buster makes a great point. He's got to do what is comfortable."

The Giants have one more game against the San Diego Padres on Sunday before heading to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers for their final regular season series starting on Monday.
