Did Bruce Bochy put on a Hall of Fame-worthy performance in postseason?

Following a masterful postseason that saw his Giants rally to come from behind in the NLDS and NLCS and sweep a heavily favored Tigers squad, Bruce Bochy has bolstered his Hall of Fame credentials.

After leading the San Francisco Giants to their second World Series title in three years, manager Bruce Bochy is making his case for the Hall of Fame, according to Alex Pavlovic of the San Jose Mercury News.

If the Hall of Fame discussion were up to Giants General Manager Brian Sabean, the conversation would be pretty cut-and-dried. "He's a Hall of Fame manager," Sabean told Pavlovic. "Enough said."

The 57-year-old manager is amassing quite the qualifications for inclusion in the Hall. He's one of 23 managers in MLB history to win two World Series, ranks 23rd all-time with 1,454 victories and has a legitimate shot at joining elite company in the 2,000 win club. Of the 10 managers who have won 2,000 games, seven are already in the Hall of Fame, and Tony LaRussa, Joe Torre and Bobby Cox are basically guaranteed enshrinement.

Bochy was masterful in the 2012 postseason, leading his team to come-from-behind series wins in the NLDS and NLCS and sweeping a heavily favored Detroit Tigers squad.
