The Detroit Tigers are the favorites to win the 2013 World Series. The San Francisco Giants aren't far behind, trailing only the Tigers and Yankees in overall odds.

Despite winning the 2012 World Series, the San Francisco Giants are not favorites at all to win it this year. In fact, the team they just swept are the current favorites to win in 2013. The Detroit Tigers are 6/1 favorites to be the champs in 2013, followed by the New York Yankees at 7/1. The Giants currently are situated in third with 10/1 odds to repeat and capture their third title in four years.

Although San Francisco had a relatively easy road to win the 2012 World Series, it was hardly easy for them to win the title. They had to rally to win the National League West against the Los Angeles Dodgers, they had to rally from 2-0 down and win three games against the Cincinnati Reds on the road, and they had to rally from 3-1 down to beat the St. Louis Cardinals. It was a long road to get back to the Series, but they took care of business by winning 4-0 against the Tigers.
