Previewing this week's matchup between the Cal Bears and Nevada Wolf Pack.
The California Golden Bears will begin their season Saturday, September 1 against the Nevada Wolf Pack. The Bears struggled to play consistently on both sides of the football last season, although hopes are high in Berkeley with a renovated stadium and veteran-led squad.
Nevada had a solid season in 2011, going 7-6 that included a loss in the Hawaii Bowl. They will look to make a run in the Mountain West this season armed with a solid rushing attack and improving defense.
Game time, TV channel: 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT; Pac-12 Network will air the game live.
Point spread: California opened as 11-point favorites over Nevada. The over/under for the game is 54 points.
