Justin Cobbs Named Pac-12 Player Of The Week

The California Golden Bears might be leading the conference, but for most of the season they had yet to put out a Pac-12 player of the year because the focus came from the team, not the individuals. That changed this week with a stellar two game performance from Justin Cobbs.

Cobbs shined on Thursday night against the Oregon Ducks. With his former teammate Devoe Joseph lighting up the scoreboard and threatening to lead Oregon to a huge road win, Cobbs kept pace for most of the game on 13 of 19 shooting for 28 points, eight assists, four steals, and NO turnovers! The battle of Minnesota transfers ended with Cobbs being the victor.

Cobbs played a solid supporting role on Saturday night, as he dished 13 assists all around to give Cal a sweep of the Oregon schools on Senior Night. Cobbs helped move the ball and get his teammates the ball at the right place. Cobbs's 13 assists are the most for a Cal Bear since Jason Kidd dished 13 in 1993-94.
