It has to be the worst nightmare of any Cal football fan: Seeing their prized recruit commit to the California Golden Bears on national TV, then see him change his mind and head off to a rival program.
But Shaq Thompson is seriously considering it.
With Tosh Lupoi headed to the Pacific Northwest, the Washington Huskies have suddenly emerged as a player for the prized Cal prospect, and Thompson seems to be at least thinking about giving Seattle a look-see.

There's a lot for Thompson to really like about heading up to the Northwest. He has two coaches he's familiar with in Lupoi and Justin Wilcox, both who figure to feature prominently next season. He is good friends with James Sample, a high school teammate who is a cornerback on the Huskies. But will it be enough to tear him away from Cal? It remains to be seen.
