The California Golden Bears will host the UCLA Bruins in a Pac-12 conference game on Saturday at California Memorial Stadium.

The California Golden Bears will square off against the UCLA Bruins in a Pac-12 game featuring two teams on opposite ends of the standings on Saturday at California Memorial Stadium.

The Golden Bears enter the contest 0-2 in conference play and are 1-4 overall. They're coming off a tough 27-17 home loss to Arizona State, where they struggled on defense against the Sun Devils. Cal ranks 86th in the nation in points against, while the Bruins are 33rd in points for and ranked No. 25 overall.

The oddsmakers via OddsShark agree that the matchup will be difficult for Cal and have UCLA favored by 2.5 points on the road. UCLA (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) is coming off a convincing 42-14 win at Colorado and will look to ride the momentum they currently have away from the Rose Bowl.

The Bruins have been much-improved on offense in 2012, and it's largely due to the efforts of running back Johnathan Franklin, who has 697 yards on the ground on 93 carries for an astounding average of 7.5 yards per carry. For Cal, quarterback Zach Maynard has been serviceable, throwing for 1053 yards and five touchdowns against four interceptions, but will need to limit turnovers against the Bruins.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT and will air on the Pac-12 network.
