The 3-5 Golden Bears will head to Salt Lake City as they search for redemption in Saturday's contest.
The California Golden Bears take on the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City in a Pac-12 division game on Saturday, as they try to right the ship after having a two-game winning streak snapped at Stanford a week ago.
Cal is 3-5 on the year and seemingly had some momentum prior to The Big Game in Palo Alto on Saturday. They have a good shot to grab a road win against the Utes, who are winless in Pac-12 play on the season. The Bears will have to overcome some deficiencies on offense, however, as they were ineffective against Stanford and had only 12 first downs in the contest. It was a long day for quarterback Zach Maynard, who completed 19-of-31 passes for 214 yards and no touchdowns while being sacked four times.
Utah's biggest strength during the season has been its defense. The Utes lead the nation with 13 forced fumbles and have three fumble recoveries for touchdowns.
The game will kick off from Salt Lake City at 6:45 p.m. PT.
