Cal vs. WSU: Which Cal team plans on showing up?

Stay connected for news and updates

Ed Szczepanski-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Golden Bears look to feed off the good will established in last week's win over UCLA as they take on the Washington State Cougars.

As the Cal Golden Bears head to Pullman, Wa. to take on the Washington State Cougars, the question remains; which Cal team is going to show up?

Will it be last week's team that ran all over the UCLA Bruins en route to a 43-17 victory? Or will it be the team that lost the week before to the Arizona State Sun Devils 27-17?

Either way, as Cal looks to even its Pac-12 record, bloggers and analysts on both sides of the matchup aren't too eager to make bets on what is going to happen.

The writers of California Golden Blogs each posted their thoughts on what might happen.

Washington State Cougars head coach Mike Leach is doing a bit of extra scouting on the Bears.

Coug Center points out that the Cougars third down struggles stem from an inability to move the ball well on first and second downs.

Coug Center also points out that Cal's defense is better than raw numbers say it is and it may be a problem for the Cougars.
