Here is the crew that will be calling the ALDS between the Oakland Athletics and the Detroit Tigers.
After stealing the AL West from the Texas Rangers, the Oakland Athletics will be beginning their postseason run Saturday against the Detroit Tigers with the first game of the ALDS.
Here are the umpires that will be calling the opening game of the series:
Home Plate: Jim Reynolds (previous experience: three division series, one league championship series)
First Base: Mark Wegner (five DS, one LCS)
Second Base: Dana DeMuth (seven DS, five LCS, four world series)
Third Base: Eric Cooper (six DS, one LCS)
Left Field: Wally Bell (five DS, four LCS, one WS)
Right Field: Scott Barry (first postseason assignment)
DeMuth, who is in his 29th year as a Major League umpire, will also be playing the role of crew chief for this series.
Rookie Jarrod Parker (13-8, 3.47 ERA) will be facing off against last year's Cy Young winner Justin Verlander (17-8, 2.64 ERA) Saturday evening when Game 1 begins at 6:00 p.m. EST.
