The San Francisco 49ers advanced to the NFC Championship game for the second consecutive year.

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers 45-31 on Saturday to advance to the NFC Championship game for the second consecutive year.

The 49ers will either host Seattle or visit Atlanta next weekend depending on the outcome of the Seahawks vs. Falcons game on Sunday. Atlanta will host Seattle at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday on Fox.

The 49ers were propelled into the NFC Championship game by quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who had four total touchdowns while throwing for 263 yards and rushing for another 181 versus the Packers.

San Francisco was 1-1 versus Seattle this past season as they beat them 13-6 in Week 7 but fell 42-13 to the Seahawks in Week 16.

The Seattle defense held Kaepernick to just seven carries for 31 yards on the ground, while allowing him to pass for 244 yards with one touchdown and one interception in Week 16.

San Francisco did not play Atlanta this season.
