Pro Bowl rosters will be announced on Wednesday, and a few Niners should hear their names called.

Fans of the San Francisco 49ers would rather not see their players in the Pro Bowl this year, because that would mean the team isn't in the Super Bowl. Still, the NFC West leaders should expect several of their players named to the NFC squad, which along with that of the AFC will be released on a special selection show Wednesday.

The Pro Bowl rosters will be announced Wednesday at 4 p.m. PT on the NFL Network. The Niners' loaded defense figures to send some representatives, like stalwart Patrick Willis or sack-master Aldon Smith. However, players on the teams headed to the Super Bowl won't get their trip to Hawaii for the annual all-star game held the week before, and the Niners have as high of aspirations to play in the title game as any other team in the league.

However, for Raiders fans, any chance to see their players after Week 17 lies in the Pro Bowl. Sebastian Janikowski could get another selection after leading the fan vote, which accounts for 1/3 of the final vote along with those of the league's coaches and players.

The Pro Bowl is set for Jan. 27 in Hawaii.
