San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson leveled Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Early Doucet in what was ruled a perfectly legal hit.

San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson will not be fined for his hit on Arizona Cardinals reciever Early Doucet, reports CSN Bay Area.

Goldson crushed Doucet in the fourth quarter of the dominant, 24-3 victory the Niners posted over the Cardinals on Monday night. Goldson was not penalized at the time for the hit.

The lack of fine would be no surprise to head coach Jim Harbaugh, who praised the hit after the game, telling reporters "Vince Lombardi would be proud." Goldson found Doucet coming over the middle and leveled him with a shoulder-first tackle that had the reciever shaken up but able to walk off the field without help.

Clashing with Doucet has hit both men in the wallet before. Goldson was ejected from the game between the Niners and the Cardinals in November of 2011, after Doucet slapped him on the helmet and Goldson responded by throwing punches. That cost Goldson $25,000 for the punches and Doucet $10,000 for the slap.
