Raiders release linebacker Carl Ihenacho, sign Vic So'oto

The Oakland Raiders have released former San Jose State linebacker Carl Ihenacho to make room for linebacker Vic So'oto, according a press release by the team on Tuesday.

So'oto played in seven games with the Green Bay Packers last season after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. He was placed on injured reserve Aug. 31 with an ankle injury and released Sept. 10. The second-year player appeared in seven games for the Packers in 2011 and had seven tackles (five solo) and one sack in limited action. He also was a part of the Packers special teams unit.

The Raiders also released defensive tackle Vaughn Meatoga from the practice squad on Tuesday.

The Raiders will head to Sports Authority Field at Mile High for a Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Kickoff is slated for 1:05 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on CBS.
