Tour Championship 2012: Jim Furyk Leads, Tiger Woods Climbs Back Into Top 10

Stay connected for news and updates

The third round of the 2012 Tour Championship is underway, and in the early going Jim Furyk has been able to hold on to his position at the top of the leaderboard. He's at even par through five, leaving him 7-under overall and in sole possession of the lead. Bubba Watson and Justin Rose are both through five tied for second, each 6-under overall.

After struggling in Round 2, Tiger Woods has looked better on the front nine. The former Stanford standout is 1-under through 10, having picked up birdies on hole Nos. 4 and 9, offset with a bogey on No. 7. That's enough to climb back into the top 10, tied for eighth at 2-under. Also tied for eighth is Rory McIlroy, who is 1-over through eight. Nick Watson, a native of Sacramento, is only 1-over through 17, but thanks to an ugly first two rounds he remains near the bottom of the standings.

There's plenty of golf yet to come, so this is still anyone's round and anyone's tournament.
