The San Jose Earthquakes will begin selling MLS Playoffs tickets next week.
The San Jose Earthquakes had a fine season in 2012 and have shifted their focus to the MLS Playoffs. With the team already clinching a postseason spot, their front office has announced a limited number of playoff tickets will be put up for sale on Wednesday, September 26 at 10 a.m.
While the playoffs will not begin until early November, less than 2,500 tickets remain to the future matchup. For the fans who do not want to risk missing out on tickets once they're made available to the public, they can guarantee their MLS Cup Playoff seat by placing a $50 deposit on 2013 season tickets. That deposit also secures a spot in the club's new stadium seat selection queue.
The Earthquakes (17-6-6, 57 pts.) currently lead the Western Conference and Supporters' Shield standings with five games remaining. The Seattle Sounders FC (13-6-9, 48 pts.) are their biggest threat in the West, while Sporting Kansas City (16-7-6, 54 pts.) is three points back in the Supporters' Shield race.
In addition to their playoff ticket release, the Earthquakes also announced their two final home matches are sold out.
