Dennis Allen Remains Focused Solely On Pittsburgh Steelers

The Oakland Raiders are off to a disappointing 0-2 start, but head coach Dennis Allen is taking the 2012 season one game at a time, according to comments he made at a press conference on Monday.

The Raiders opened the season with a disappointing loss at the hands of their AFC West rival San Diego Chargers and dropped their Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins 34-13, but Allen isn't concerned about pressure, nor is he looking at the big picture. He's focused on the Raiders next opponent, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I've got my eye on Pittsburgh. That's the only place I'm looking. I don't concern myself with a lot of those big picture things. I'm working one week to the next ... how can we try to develop a plan that's going to give us a chance to be successful against Pittsburgh."

When asked if he viewed the Steelers game as "must-win," Allen stuck with the "one game a time" mentality.

"We're ready to play the Pittsburgh Steelers. And that's the only game I'm concerned about. As far as I'm concerned, the next game up on your schedule is a must-win. And that's what we're trying to do every week."

Kickoff for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers is slated for 1:25 p.m. PT at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The game will be televised on CBS.
