CSN Bay Area reports that the Raiders plan on easing Moore into the game since the wide receiver has been out with his injury since Aug. 4. He only started to practice late last week and was a last minute scratch from Week 1's 22-14 loss against the San Diego Chargers.
"We don't want to play him the full game," offensive coordinator Greg Knapp told reporters this week. "You can't do that. You got to manage him because he's been out so long. But you try to pick your situations where it's more likely for him to be involved and give him a chance to win in critical situations, third downs, red zone, certain first and second downs also."
Moore is just ready to get out on the gridiron for the first time this season. Moore broke out last year as a rookie with 33 receptions for 618 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games.
"I'm itching," Moore said, "like I got the chicken pox."
"Definitely there's a comfort zone with Carson and him...getting him back would definitely be helpful for us, especially when third downs come up and you get a lot of man-coverage. He's a very good route runner and creates separation," Knapp said.
