Cal Vs. Nevada Score Update: Golden Bears Trail 14-7 At Half

The Cal Golden Bears have fallen behind,14-7, to the Nevada Wolfpack in their season-opening game at newly-renovated Memorial Stadium.

Stefphon Jefferson of Nevada got the scoring started with a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. That capped a 16-play, 80-yard drive. Jefferson has 60 yards on 15 carries through one half.

Wolfpack QB Cody Fajardo has had a solid start to his season. He has completed 12-of-15 passes for 78 yards and rushed 12 times for 87 yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came on a 49-yard score that Nevada 14-0.

The Golden Bears pulled closer in the second quarter when Zach Maynard connected with Bryce Treggs on a 37-yard touchdown pass at 4:38 to go in the first half. Maynard is 8-of-13 for 127 yards thus far. The TD was the only catch for Treggs, but it does make him Cal's leading receiver.
