The California Golden Bears kick off their 2012 campaign with a return to the renovated Memorial Stadium, hosting the University of Nevada in their first game as part of the Mountain West.
The Bears have some injury issues heading into the game as defensive lineman Mustafa Jalil, linebacker Khairi Fortt, defensive back Stefan McClure and offensive lineman Mark Brazinski and Dominic Galas are all out indefinitely for the Golden Bears, while linebacker Jason Gibson is out until mid-November after suffering a broken foot.
As for Nevada, running back Anthony Knight is questionable with a sore right shoulder.
