The unbeaten U.S. women's volleyball squad was looking to stay that way on Thursday at the 2012 London Olympic games as they took on South Korea in their semifinal matchup. And when it was all said and done, the United States of America will get a chance to win their first gold medal in the event in a 25-20, 25-22, 25-22 victory at Earls Court.
The top ranked U.S. of A will now compete in the Olympic final after their straight-set victory, taking on the winner of the other semifinal between Brazil and Japan. Destinee Hooker led the way for America, scoring 24 points.
The dominant U.S. team has dropped just two sets at the London Games.
