He tossed six innings against the Rockies in his last start, giving up five hits while striking out seven.Bummy had won his first two meetings against St. Louis, both at Busch Stadium, before allowing four runs in 7.1 innings of work in a 4-1 loss at AT&T on May 16.

The Cardinals will send out Adam Wainwright (9-10, 4.03 ERA), who has been pitching well as of late. He's compiled a 1.84 ERA over his last four starts along with 28 K's and just two walks, but has struggled against the Giants in his career. Wainwright has an 0-4 record despite a 3.19 ERA over five career starts versus the Black and Orange.
