The United States women's national soccer team is looking for a return to the gold medal game and another chance for Olympic glory. They'll first have to get through a Canadian team that has played fairly well in these games. Canada managed to beat South Africa and draw with Sweden and fell to Japan in group play, but that was enough to advance to the quarterfinals, where they eliminated hosts Great Britain.
Alex Morgan has proven that she just doesn't need to score goals to be effective, and has been an ample distributor the rest of the way. Morgan has given off two assists to Abby Wambach on crucial goals to help the USA win their last two games against North Korea and New Zealand. As the games wear on and more attention is drawn to her, Morgan will have to prove she can help the USA score off the ball by passing it to others as well as striking it on target.
The USA takes on Canada at 11:45 AM on the NBC Sports Network, and it can also be seen on the NBC Soccer Olympic network that's been created for the purpose of these games. The soccer should be streamed on NBCOlympics.com.
