China continued their total domination of diving at the 2012 London Olympics on Sunday as Wu Minxia won the women's 3-meter springboard, claiming her first individual gold medal and record-tying sixth career medal at the Olympics.
Wu led all but one round of the five-dive final round, totaling 414.00 points to tie fellow Chinese diver Guo Jingjing with six career medals. Wu and synchronized partner He Zi also won the 3-meter synchronized title in London this year.
He Zi took silver with a total score 379.20, China's sixth diving medal of these games, including their fifth gold after.
Laura Sanchez Soto of Mexico earned the bronze at 362.40. Stanford graduate Cassidy Krug finished seventh.
