First round action at the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship is in the books for many competitors, including Tiger Woods, who is tied for the lead after the first round at TPC Boston in Norton, MA.
Tiger fired a opening round 64 to leave him 7-under on Thursday, currently tied with Jeff Overton. Woods dropped eight birdies and one bogey on his round today, dropping five straight birdies on his first five holes of the day.
Aussie John Senden and South African Louis Oosthuizen are currently tied for third place at 5-under for the tournament, while Dustin Johnson, Luke Donald, Ian Poulter and two others finished their opening rounds with 4-under 67's.
Last week's winner and Sacramento native Nick Watney got off to a bit of a rough start, firing a 1-over 72 in his opening round.
