The United States holds a slight lead atop the medal leaderboard following seven days of action in London. China was overall leader up until Thursday, but Team USA has since rallied and now leads with 43 medals. They also lead with 21 gold medals, along with their 10 silver and 12 bronze.
China sits in second place with 42 medals. They've won 20 gold, 13 silver and nine bronze. Russia moved into third place with 23 medals following strong showing in Gymnastics. Host country Great Britain is in fourth with 22 medals, and Japan has dropped to fifth with 21.
Saturday will be yet another busy day of action at the Olympics. Track and Field events will highlight the schedule.
