Stay connected for news and updates

The San Francisco Giants snuck past the Houston Astros on Tuesday to earn a win, and now turn to Barry Zito for another W on Wednesday at Minute Maid Park.

Zito (10-8, 4.31 ERA) allowed two runs on five hits in eight innings of work in his last start, a 5-2 win against Atlanta. He's struggled against Houston as of late though, owning a 10.00 ERA while taking the loss in his last two starts against them.

Houston will counter with lefty Dallas Keuchel (1-6, 5.40), who is making his first career start against San Francisco. He's been really hurting as of late, posting a 0-6 record with a 6.61 ERA in his last nine starts. He allowed six runs in four innings of a 13-5 loss against St. Louis on Thursday.

Angel Pagan continues to stay hot, and is now 11-for-21 in his last five games away from AT&T, while he's batting .441 with three homers and 21 runs scored over his last 14 road games. He's 6-for-16 in his last four games against Houston.

First pitch is set for 5:05 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
