With northern California native Nick Watney (8-under) sitting in second place before teeing off in the final round of The Barclays in Long Island, N.Y., early action has seen a few golfers shine.
Watney who, like the rest of the field, continues to chase Sergio Garcia (10-under), tees off at 10:40 a.m. PT. While waiting for Watney to tee off, Ricky Barnes has shot 1-under through six holes and is 2-under for the tournament, eight strokes behind Garcia, who tees off with Watney at 10:40 a.m.
Tiger Woods, who just teed off, starts the final day of action at Bethpage's Black Course six strokes back of the leader Garcia, and will need a late push to contend for the first title of the FedEx Cup schedule at The Barclays.
Australian Jason Day has shined the brightest in morning action out on Long Island, shooting 5-under in his final round and finishing the tournament at 1-under 283.
