Barclays 2012: Sacramento Native Nick Watney Takes Lead Halfway Through Round 2

Stay connected for news and updates

Sacramento native and Fresno State alum Nick Watney is now sitting on top of the Barclays leader board with a score of 8-under through the first ten holes.

An impressive eagle on the fourth hole gave Watney the lead and he has still yet to relinquish it despite a bogey on the eighth.

Padraig Harrington, the leader after Thursday, has dropped all the way to 31st after compiling five bogeys through ten holes.

Vijay Singh and Bob Estes are still breathing down Watney's neck, sitting at -7 with their rounds completed. Tiger Woods also still remains in striking distance after following up two bogeys with three birdies on the front nine.
