The Barclays 2012, Leaderboard Update: Padraig Harrington Leads, Tiger Woods Close Behind

The 2012 Barclays in underway, and it's Irishman Padraig Harrington that has jumped out to an early lead on Thursday at Bethpage Black in New York.

Firing an opening round 64, Harrington sits atop the heap at 7-under for the tournament, while Northern California native Nick Watney sits just one shot behind him after a first round 65. Gary Christian and Brian Harman are tied with Watney at 6-under, while another six players are currently within three shots of the lead.

As for Tiger Woods, he finished his day with a 3-under 69, setting himself up nicely for the rest of the week. Phil Mickelson and Zach Johnson each fired 69's as well.

Rory McIlroy shot an opening round 70, finding himself 2-under for the tourney.
