The Oakland Athletics made another strong statement on Sunday as they closed out their three-game series against the Cleveland Indians at O.co Coliseum. The A's picked up the win -- and the series sweep -- with a decisive 7-0 victory behind Jarrod Parker, who tossed eight shutout innings.
Coco Crisp drove in the first run of the game with an RBI single in the third inning. Brandon Moss added a solo home run in the fourth to make it 2-0. Crisp blasted a three-run homer in the fifth to push the lead to 5-0.
Oakland added two more runs in the sixth, on a double from Jemile Weeks and one last RBI single by Crisp. Crisp finished the game 3-for-5 with a run scored and a whopping 5 RBI from the leadoff spot.
