After the drubbing at the hands of the Washington Nationals Monday night, the San Francisco Giants have to regroup and look to get back on trace at AT&T Park on Tuesday.
Bumgarner (12-7, 3.08 ERA) is 4-0 with a 1.61 ERA in his last six starts at AT&T Park, but gave up a season high seven runs and nine hits, including home runs to Ryan Zimmerman, Michael Morse and Jonathan Solano, in five innings of work in a 9-4 loss to Washington on July 4.
After Vogelsong's schlepping on Monday, the new NL ERA leader Jordan Zimmerman (9-6, 2.35) became the league's ERA leader, owning 1.60 ERA since July 22. He allowed just three hits with a career high 11 strikeouts in six innings of work against Houston in his last start. He is 4-0 with a 0.87 ERA in his past five starts on the road.
Monday's loss left the Giants tied with the Dodgers for first place in the NL West, so wins in this series will be crucial.
First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
