Giants Turn To Matt Cain To End Frustrations With Rockies

Stay connected for news and updates

The San Francisco Giants will turn to Matt Cain on Saturday night with the Colorado Rockies in town. Following a frustrating 3-0 loss to the Rox in the series opener, Cain really needs to get his club back on track if they hope to keep pace in the National League West.

Following a low-scoring game last night, we may be in for a lot of offense on Saturday. Neither of the starting pitchers have pitched well recently, especially Cain. This being said, has historically pitched well against Colorado, posting a record of 13-7 with a 3.23 ERA in 164 innings pitched.

Drew Pomeranz, a lefty, will make the start for the Rockies and has made just two starts against the Giants in his career, going 1-0 with a 3.97 ERA.

First pitch from AT&T Park is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. PT. It should be a beautiful day for baseball near the bay.
