Many were hoping that the 2012 PGA Championships in South Carolina would be the tournament where Tiger Woods returned to form. While it is too early to say whether Woods is truly "back," he has made a big statement in the first two days of the event. After Friday's second round, Woods is in a tie for the lead at 4-under.
Woods shot a 1-under on Friday, but that was good enough to grab a share of the lead. One of Woods' longtime contemporaries, Vijay Singh, shot a 3-under to also land at 4-under at the end of the round. Carl Pettersson entered the day at 6-under with a one-stroke lead, but a 2-over on Friday means he now shares the top spot with Singh and Woods.
