Sunday marked the eighth stage (and ninth day) of the 2012 Tour de France, and Thibaut Pinot might've come up with the most dominant performance of any cyclist up to this point. Despite not being anywhere near the top of the leaderboard at the start of the day, Pinot won the stage by an impressive 26 seconds.
He finished his day after three hours, 56 minutes and 10 seconds of riding.
Eight cyclists tied for second place on Sunday, including overall leader Bradley Wiggins. He remains the leader and will continue to wear the yellow jersey on Monday. His current lead is 10 seconds over Cadel Evans, who currently sits in second place by himself.
The ninth stage of the 2012 Tour de France will go from Arc-et-Senans to Besançon.
