U.S. swimmer Missy Franklin, a 17-year old senior at Regis Jesuit High School near Denver, Colorado, has narrowed her list of 'top-three' potential colleges down to Cal, USC, and Georgia.

"Missle" Franklin is favored to win the two backstroke events in London, and could win a couple of golds in relays. She is currently entered in seven events, and if she medals in all of them, she'll hold the new American womens record for medals at a single Olympiad, currently six.

Franklin, 6-foot-1, has qualified in the 100 and 200 freestyle and the 100 and 200 backstroke, and is eligible to swim in three relay events for the U.S. as well. Franklin swims has her 200 free heats Monday morning, then later that evening swims the 200 free semifinal and 100 backstroke final 19 minutes apart. Wednesday morning she has 100 free heats and freestyle relay heats, and then 100 free semis and the relay finals that night. It will be hectic, to say the least.
