2012 NBA Draft Results: Damian Lillard Selected By Portland Trail Blazers

Stay connected for news and updates

With the sixth pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Portland Trail Blazers picked Damian Lillard from Weber State. Lillard originally hails from Oakland and he's now headed to the pros. After a disastrous year at point guard, the Blazers might have found their starter for the near future.

Lillard is really good at scoring and finishing at the rim, is highly intelligent and makes good decisions with the basketball, which are all things that certainly would appeal to Blazers fans after having to deal with Raymond Felton last year. He played in a small conference in the Big Sky, but people have been raving about Lillard ever since the draft began. Lillard is the best point guard available in the draft, and Portland might have gotten a gem.
