U.S. Open Championship 2012 Leaderboard: Tiger Woods 3rd Through 10 In Round 2 Play

Tiger Woods started out the day on a roll. He had taken sole possession of first place atop the leaderboard at the 2012 U.S. Open earlier in the afternoon after managing a birdie on the par-3 No. 3 hole. With that shot, he went to 2-under overall and 1-under for the day and into the lead past Day 1 leader Michael Thompson. That lead wouldn't hold for long.

Woods bogeyed three straight holes - the 5th, 6th, and 7th, to drop out of the lead. After a birdie on 10, he sits at +1 for the day and E on the tournament at The Olympic Club, now in sole possession of third. He trails leaders Beau Hossler - who at 17 years old is -1 through 12, Jim Furyk, at -1 through 2 rounds, and now sits in front of John Peterson, and Nicolas Colsaerts, Graeme McDowell, and Michael Thompson, who all finished the day +1 overall.
