The San Francisco Giants are in second place in the NL West, five games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Oakland Athletics are in last place of the AL West.
The latest MLB standings have the San Francisco Giants sitting in second place, and the Oakland Athletics struggling in last. If the Giants can stay close they have three games against the Los Angeles Dodgers at the end of June and may have a direct opportunity to move into first place.
